My Leadership Reflection
I am looking to make a change in my community and to do that I am willing to try new things and most definitely learn from others who are more experienced than I am.I try to think of the future of things. I feel very proud to say I took part in the organization of the 2018 MMH (Movement for Mental Health). This event couldn't have been possible without the help from many amazing people and members of our leadership group. It was just one of the many things we will do to make Airdrie a better place for everyone to live in.
I feel like it is better to do little things first and climb up to the bigger issues. As a student leader I know there is limitations to how much I can do, but I am going to try my best to achieve all my goals. Last year one of my goals was to overcome my shyness. I had some problems when it came to meeting people for the first time, but now that is no longer an issue. I think that one of the things that helped me overcome this was going to RYLA. I was the only one from my school who went on this amazing experience and that forced me to make new friends, because I knew that if I was gonna make the most out of that experience being shy wasn't an option. Right after I came back from RYLA I was presented with the opportunity to go to ASLC and I guess the attitude I had from RYLA just carried with me when I went to ASLC. Now I have no problem meeting new people and instead I try to talk to as many as I can. The thing I like about meeting new people is that they all have different stories and they all have different things to talk about. I like to think that the people you meet change you just a little every time.

Nothing more exciting than meeting new people, hearing their stories and being inspired
